The art of Stop motion is an exciting animation technique, which allows us to bring things to life. With Stop Motion we can control and move the world around us, or create our own imaginative world, in which objects and characters magically come alive. Short animations based on the stories generated within the workshop, will be brought to life.

Participants will learn how to manipulate suitable materials in order to animate their stories. Stop motion is one of the most tactile, hands-on, and rewarding areas of animation... Just think of ‘Wallace and Gromit’ and you’ve got the idea.

Last year, the stop-motion animations created on during this camp featured in the Wexford Documentary Film Festival's programme. They were so well received by the audience that MediaSkool have been invited to show some of the stop-motion animations from this camp too.
